Case study: installation of charging stations

Project summary

Our customer wanted to set up a recharging infrastructure at their company headquarters in Petit-Rechain to enable their employees to make the transition to 100% electric mobility with complete peace of mind.

Customer needs

To meet the recharging needs of every employee, it was necessary to design a complete solution adapted to different driving profiles. Some employees spend most of their time in the office, while others are often on the road.

Vectura’s solution

After several strategic and technical meetings, we decided, in agreement with our customer, toinstall 16 charging points in the company parking lot. To best integrate this solution with their photovoltaic system, we chose to work with the Smappee brand. This equipment enabled us to optimize photovoltaic production and set up a power management system, essential to avoid disrupting production lines. We also installed 4 charging stations at the homes of employees with a more nomadic profile.

Timing and progress of the project

The electrical work and programming of the terminals were completed in just one week. Here are the details of the project:

1) Initial analysis :

We began by assessing the charging needs of our employees and the existing electrical infrastructure. Next, we analyzed photovoltaic production to effectively integrate the charging points.

2) Installation of charging points :

Theinstallation of 16 charging points in the company parking lot was carried out with logistical constraints and safety standards in mind. Each charging station was optimized to work in harmony with the photovoltaic system.

3) Electrical work and programming :

The charging stations were integrated into the company’s electrical network, with a power management system to avoid any disruption to production lines. Exhaustive tests were carried out to ensure that the installations functioned correctly.

The recharging infrastructure project was a success, enabling their employees to benefit from 100% electric mobility without any worries. Thanks to this initiative, our customer is strengthening its commitment to sustainable and innovative mobility.
