Here&#8217;s what you need to know to be in compliance in 2025.  <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Wallonia<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Wallonia, PEB regulations specify the requirements for the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From <\/span><b>10 parking spaces<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wiring must be provided for <\/span><b>at least 20%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of parking spaces.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since January 1, 2025, non-residential buildings with more than 20 parking spaces must be equipped with a charging station for at least one out of every five spaces.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some <\/span><b>communes offer assistance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">but this depends on local budgets. Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll find in Belgium today.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AC or DC terminal: what&#8217;s the difference?<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>AC (alternating current)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This is the most common type of charging. Suitable for normal charging (3 to 22 kW). Ideal for 1 to 3-hour stops.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>DC (direct current)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> used for fast charging. DC terminals range from 50 to 350 kW.
